  Absolutely terrible! Charles lied to my fiance and I several times by stating that we weren't allowed to cancel our policies without being penalized, even though we found MUCH cheaper policies elsewhere that featured better coverage. I later found out that not allowing a customer to cancel their policy without owing on the remainder is illegal. What other insurance company refuses to let you cancel in this way? If you look at the previous reviewer's experience, it appears as if this is a practice Affordable Insurance has elected to put into place to attempt to deter their customers from seeking out better policies. My fiance's new policy with Geico is about 60% cheaper than what Affordable provided, and includes lower deductibles. When I did finally cancel my policy, Affordable sent the incorrect cancellation date to the DMV (which I'm not sure wasn't intentional, as we felt like we were trying to be intimidated into keeping our policies by Charles previously), so now I have to fight with the DMV to prove that I didn't have a lapse in coverage. I fear that they will do the same to my fiance. Oh, I also forgot to mention that after I canceled my policy they neglected to turn off autodraft, so I got charged for the following month's premium and had to wait over 2 weeks for a refund. Stay far away from this company! UPDATE 3/24: I called Affordable today to ensure that the correct information was set to the DMV so that they didn't record a lapse in my coverage and, surprise, Charles was completely rude to me. He stated that his company had been in business for 15 years, which made them professionals, and that they didn't need any oversight to complete the tasks they had at hand. Clearly that is not the case, as I've had to babysit the company through everything else I've asked them to do. I mean seriously, why can they not own up to the fact that they've made a mistake and do the things necessary to make it right with a good attitude. This company is a complete joke. If you enjoy wasting time, money, and your own sanity then by all means sign right up.
